3 miles from the Exmoor coast, nestling in the North Devon hills with 2 acres of gardens is the 18th century Kentisbury Mill where a warm welcome awaits from your hosts Gail & Jim Evans. Starting at the old Mill Leat, now diverted across the top of the garden, gently sloping lawns lead down to our pond, Exmoor stream and Summer House where Guests can relax and unwind. About Kentisbury Mill

  • Restoration

Originally a Devon cottage built around 1750, it had a small corn mill added in the 1790’s, and the building was extended further in the 1920’s. Gail and Jim bought the Mill in April 2007 and undertook major renovations, including central heating and en-suites to all bedrooms. Care has been taken to keep, and restore, as much of the original features and character as possible.
  • The Gardens

Kentisbury Mill sits in gardens of around two acres, starting at the diverted mill leat at the top with gently sloping lawns down to the pond and babbling Exmoor stream. It is here that guests can use our summer house and enjoy the tranquillity and wildlife. Why not enjoy a cream tea there in the summer months?
  • Nearby

The Mill has ample private parking. A short stroll away you will find the local post office and general store, selling newspapers and basic provisions.
